The Cabin
With two bedrooms, one bathroom, a full kitchen, dining room and den, Big Cypress Duck Cabin comfortably accommodates up to six hunters. Outdoor amenities include a screened in porch, barbecue grill, picnic tables, campfire site, and private boat docks on both Tucker Bay and the Black River.
Hunters will have the option of hunting several different flooded rice fields leased by Big Cypress Duck Cabin, one of which lies directly behind the cabin. Additionally, there are several private sloughs and small stands of flooded timber that can be hunted depending on water levels. If so inclined, hunters could elect to hunt in the flooded timber of either of the nearby, nationally known, state owned wildlife management areas (Shirey Bay-Rainey Brake, Dave Donaldson Black River.) Additional equipment, including a flat bottomed boat, motor and trailer would be needed.
The 500 acre farm and hardwood forests surrounding Big Cypress Duck Cabin are home to numerous species of animals, including whitetail deer and turkey. Additionally, Tucker Bay provides excellent crappie and bass fishing and the Black River affords fishing of all kinds, including catfishing. The privacy and beauty surrounding Big Cypress Duck Cabin is priceless and will keep you coming back for years to come.
